Weekly payments due tomorrow morning. We were on discussion of polar animals today! We walked liked polar bears and waddled like penguins. We brought out the pop up tents to be our 'caves' and we pulled out the balance beam. We made walrus masks during project time and read POLAR ADAPTATIONS during story time. Stay warm and healthy!

PROMPT PICK UP TONIGHT-we are down to one vehicle until later tonight and we have XC and Basketball at 5:00 and 5:30 tonight!😧 We had a slow start to our day with just Corbin until 9 and then Bennett and Graham joined us. Ava came right before afternoon nap time-a quiet day. Hoping everyone stays healthy---some nasty stuff flying through here. Charleigh was out today with the same nasty cough. 😷 We'll be celebrating Ava's 3rd birthday this afternoon with some Beauty and the Beast cake! 🌹
Happy Friday! Burr! Just as we were adjusting to the mini heat wave, Mother Nature came rushing back! Inside play today with lots of things to make us wiggle. Best wiggle fun was a dance party with loud music and dancing scarves! We did watch SesameStreet halfway through our morning to break up the long morning inside. For projects today, we made Peek A Boo Houses and we colored a story board and then the kids told me their story, as I wrote it down for them. I'm sure they can't wait to share them with you! Stay warm (and healthy) and have a great weekend!
Show and Tell WHITE tomorrow. Sickness has hit here. Zoe and Monica have confirmed influenza and Graham has been out for two days with a fever. Please, if your kids are not feeling well or showing signs of sickness--keep them home to prevent more spreading of germs. We only had Charleigh and Bennett here today. We played, we watched a movie, we cleaned fruits and veggies and fed Midnight (the bunny) some scraps of cabbage and green beans. We stayed inside while everything iced over outside! I have been salting, but I'm not sure it's doing any good---be careful this afternoon!
Weekly payments due tomorrow morning. We had a small group today-the girls and Benny! Ava and Charleigh were loving all over him and he was loving every bit of the attention! We were inside with the damp, dreary and muddy weather. We read books about our world and the places we can travel. We also talked about the fun you can have in your own back yard. We brought out the balance beam and tunnel to burn off some extra wiggles and everyone loved it! For lunch we had scrambled eggs, pancakes, bacon and banana-yum!
Weekly payments due Thursday morning. A cloudy, dreary day made for some fun inside! Ms. Tracy came and we listened to stories, sang songs and played games-we love it when the library visits us! We also turned a BIG sheet of cardboard into a new town. We added cars and people and created our own village! I'm thinking it will be a great afternoon to bake cookies-yum!
Traveling Tales tomorrow. Yea for sunshine and warmer temps! We took advantage of it and got outside today! Make sure your kiddos have hats, mittens and boots here---if we can, we will get outside! Another yea is that my car is working again! So, if we have to be out, we can now! Thank you for the birthday welcome this morning!😊
Have a great weekend! Anothe low key start to our day! Two hour delays are kind of nice! The littles LOVE having the big kids around! Show and Tell was an absolute hit with new toys from Christmas! They were all very well entertained with the new toys and did a great job of sharing! We had Elmo, Belle, a momma cat with her three nursing and meowing kittens and all of the PJ Masks characters. We enjoyed Simon Says (and the kids continued on with their own game later-check out FB for a cute video). We enjoyed free coloring time with construction paper. They are all working very hard on writing their "letters!" I hope you all enjoy your weekend and the warmer temps! Thank you for the ones that have given feedback on the library wish list! I appreciate the ideas!
EARLY CLOSURE TODAY-PICK UP AT 4:30. We had a slow start to our day with the 2 hour school delay. Since we slowly trickled in today, we had the dollhouse and accessories set up for free play and we started Boss Baby at 8. Some kids watched and some kids played-it was a low key start. After all of the school agers got on the buses, we got busy! We made the cutest cameras for our project. The bad thing, we used glue to make them, so we didn't get to play with them right away. They should be dry after nap time. We enjoyed a game of Simon Says to burn off some indoor wiggles and then we played with the dragon set. After lunch, we read more winter/snow books. We also read WE'RE GOING ON A BEAR HUNT, that's one of our favorites! Have a great afternoon and we'll see everyone by 4:30 today! Stay warm!
HAPPY NEW YEAR! Our first day back together involved a lot of play time. First, everyone was playing so well and just happy to be back together and second, it was too cold outside, so we had to be creative inside! We focused on snow and polar animals! Once it warms up, we'll go tracking outside and find snow prints! Thank you all for bringing in the snow gear! I have it labeled and stored away-once it warms up, we'll have so
e fun in the snow! I hope to get an email out later today (no promises though-we have a jam packed evening with XC, archery, gymnastics and a board meeting), just to touch base on a few things---one of which is on your calendars...jury duty (for me). 😕 I will fill you in on that and a few other things for the winter season. I hope you all had a fantastic holiday season and are ready to enjoy 2018! Thank you all for the wonderful Christmas presents---I even used part of one up yesterday and treated myself to a spa treatment before heading into today!😉 Enjoy the sunshine, it's very sneaky today---looks great outside, but cooling off fast!☀️ |
