Our last day together has been laid back and fun! It's always a good time to have Harrison, Tori and Corbin around. We had some movie time (Mickey Mouse Snowed In downstairs and The Grinch upstairs). We made white, peppermint scented dough and our ornaments are drying now! Harrison and Tori put on a show with their trumpet and trombone (while the littles played the bells). Harrison and Tori each read a Christmas book and then Charleigh, Ava and I sang our SANTA song to the big kids. The little girls are napping and the big kids begged for electronic time (minecraft is in serious mode right now). 🎄

Post dated checks for Dec. 28th and Jan. 1st need to be left at daycare today. We are soaking in all of the holiday fun! We read books about Baby Jesus and we read books about Santa. For our morning project, we made our Magic Reindeer Food (after we had a special delivery of the magic we needed to make it)! The kids are SO excited about leaving it out for the Reindeer. I encourage everyone to snuggle up with their kiddo and watch the Pentatonix video of Hallelujah. I typically wouldn't suggest this, but we were singing favorite holiday songs and since I can't sing, I played the video for them so they could hear my favorite song. Talk about 'a moment'. They were all breaking out in song and totally engrossed in the music---it was a perfect moment and I soaked it all in with the kiddos!❤️
Weekly payments due tomorrow. We were Super Stars today! We made Super Star Headbands to take home today (if they are dry enough)! We used lots of glue! In preparation for the first day of winter and a possible winter storm, we read all about SNOW today! Of coarse, with Christmas so close, we couldn't leave out some fun Christmas songs! DECK THE HALLS was a fun one we worked on today---sorry! Lots of Fa La La La La-ing going on today!😉
All post dates checks for the holiday break are due here on Thursday. Lots of outdoor play time since we know colder temps are on their way! It was so nice outside! Before heading out, we had fun with our curriculum manipulatives and the computers. It sounds like possible snow is on the way later this week, so be prepared with snow pants and snow boots!
A LOOK AT OUR WEEK: We had a small group today-just Graham, Bennett and Charleigh for the littles today. We enjoyed Christmas music while playing. We decided to wait on our curriculum projects until everyone was here, but we did enjoy some free choice coloring time together. We enjoyed reading Christmas books and singing holiday favorites together! They all played so well together and really had their imaginations working!😊
Party Day!!! More pictures posted on FB, only because I knew this blog would limit the pictures from our fun day! Gift exchange fun (everyone seemed to love their gifts), making sugar cookies-YUM, another round of opening gifts which turned into dress up fun with new dress up clothes for everyone and new coloring books! Lunch was a snow theme with snowman shaped sandwiches, snowballs (cheese) and snow drifts (cottage cheese)---lots of giggles while eating 'snow'! We listened to two books on CD and we all just settled down for an afternoon nap. We'll be snaking on our cookies and hot chocolate for afternoon snake time and then ending our day with a Christmas Movie. Once the schoolagers are home, they will have their gift exchange.
Bi-Monthly payments due tomorrow morning HO HO HO! We are so happy that it warmed up outside! We enjoyed play time outside before sneaking off to work on another gift!! We got to visit a store and do a little shopping after we dropped off something to be finished for us. When we got back home, we played outside some more before heading inside for lunch-mac n cheese, peas and bananas. After lunch, we read TWAS THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS and we loved looking at the beautiful pictures through the book. We talked about wearing our pajamas tomorrow, making cookies, bringing a star and bringing gifts for our friends-WE CAN'TWAIT!!!
Weekly payments due tomorrow. We were busy busy today! Free play was a blast with our 'new' box (turned into a roadway)!📦 We also had fun painting a paper plate to transform it into s Christmas tree!🎄 We added sprinkles, ornaments and a star tree topper! We did get outside to play before it got too windy and before the rain moved in. We had a great time running around and chasing leaves! Before nap time we listened to two books on CD--WHERE IS SANTA CLAUS? and THE MITTEN.📚 Don't blow away this afternoon!🌬
PROMPT PICK UP TONIGHT-band concert for Tori🎺 Burrrrr-it's a good thing yesterday was so nice outside-too cold to be outside today! We stayed toasting warm inside playing with Squinkies, our big box (still) and our tunnel! Ms. Tracy came and read Christmas books and did fun felt stories with us!📚 Ava stopped in with her dad and her uncle so she could show off her school! Stay warm!
OUR WEEK AHEAD: Monday fun included LOTS of outdoor play time while the weather was warmer. We worked on another gift and we continued to have fun in our BIG box!😊 We are getting excited about all of the gifts. So much shiny wrapping paper around us!🎁 We ate chicken nuggets, green beans and apples for lunch-yummy. Enjoy the warmer weather while you can!
