Tomorrow is our last day!!😢 We stayed snugly warm inside today. We wrapped presents, made a starry night Christmas tree and we had fun with scraps of wrapping paper! We stayed busy inside! We sang Jingle Bells and Frosty (A LOT)!🎶 For lunch, we ate lasagna, corn and mandarin oranges. We may have a dance party this afternoon after snack and the big kids are begging for Olive, The Other Reindeer-so we may have to watch that!🎄
We have tomorrow and Thursday before our fun here is done until 2017! Christmas fun today!!! The littles had their gift exchange this morning and the school agers will have theirs after the last bus drops off. Everyone seemed to LOVE their gifts! There is a note in their cubbies as to who their gift came from (in case that doesn't get relayed to some parents)!😉 Obviously, too cold to play outside, so we were creative inside! The kids colored their wrapping paper for their gifts to give, they worked on their presents for mommies and daddies and they had fun playing with Little People, babies, cars and of course, their new gifts! We'll wrap gifts tomorrow and and work on some projects! Everyone can take their stocking home today, too!🎄🎁
Looking ahead- We were GREEN today!! We had ornaments, a book and a baby dressed as a frog!!!🎄📗🐸 We had a dance party to kick off our day while we listened to Christmas music. We went into CR to pick up our grocery order and then we were back home for more fun. Rylan's dad popped in to play for a little while, too! We set up our tents and put a blanket over them to make a fort. We hope to finish up our gifts today so that they will be ready by Tuesday! Stay warm this weekend and enjoy the snow!!❄️
PROMPT pick up tonight by everyone! We will be heading out the door ASAP for Tori's Music Concert. Burr!!!! I hope everyone is staying warm today! We have been inside by the woodstove all day. Winter air and wood burning stove air is dry-feel free to send Chapstick or lotion for your child if you would like-please make sure they are labeled with your child's name. We are having fun with Christmas songs and holiday cheer. We continue to work on our presents and can't wait to surprise parents!🎁 We enjoyed a story about a little red elf and how her friends didn't want to help her prepare for Christmas.😕 We are living our new song, The Chubby Little Snowman, too!⛄️ See you tonight, thank you for picking up as soon as you can so that we can get Tori to school for her concert!🎤
Weekly payments are due tomorrow morning. Before all of the sickness hit today, we did have a busy day! We made a manger to take home. We glued straw and put a blanket on Baby Jesus. We also made another star ornament, too. The ornament may need a night of drying before it can go home. We did not go outside since the warmest 'feels like' temperature was 5!!! Burr! We had a dance party inside instead to burn the sillies off!😊 here's wishing everyone else stays healthy the rest of the week!!!
Thursday is a Prompt Pick Up night-we have Tori's concert. We had a quiet day compared to our full house yesterday! We started off our day with our Faith Lesson. We are living our fun song time and singing Jingle Bells and Rudolph! Our projects were a little hard for little ones, but they did as much as they could and helped me out by counting to four as I glued and cut! We made Angel Mobiles and Star Ornaments to take home. A fun book we read was called Reindeer Dance. We had a lot of fun acting out the story as we read it! We did get outside to play. Since it was so sloppy, we stuck to the driveway and got the balls out. We had fun kicking, throwing and rolling them! It sounds like the cold weather will be knocking on our doors soon!!! Burr
Monday is a no school day! Friday fun with show and tell! We had a puppy, kitten, airplane, stroller and football here today!! The kids got a kick out of our elf today, he was climbing on our ceiling!!!😳. We made Little Jack Horner's Christmas pie for our project today. We got outside to run and burn off steam, too! Heath came home early, but he hasn't been around too much-cutting and splitting wood most of the day. Hoping everyone has a great weekend!
Welcome to December! We had a full house with everyone here and Connor here today, too! We dressed up as Santa's elves and made toys in Santa's Workshop with the tool set!🎁 Before calendar time, we revamped the bulletin boards with our December and winter themes! During circle time, we talked about baking in the kitchen. We sang a song about stiring the spoon, too. We made a kitchen collage project using spoons, foil, wax paper and muffin wraps. Lots of glue and sticky fun! After our project, we headed outside! It was chilly, but it was nice to get some fresh air! Thank you for making sure your kids are prepared for outside play! The mitten in the hat and hat in the coat sleeves is saving us time on getting ready to go outside! 😉 Have a great afternoon!
