Monthly, Bi-Monthly and Curriculum Fees are due tomorrow-please post date payments and leave them here today. Goodbye September and Hello October!🎃 Even though it wasn't bright and sunny outside, we still had a ball and made our own sunshine. During circle time, we worked on dressing a toddler. We sang a song as we found the right clothes for the toddler. This group loves to sing silly songs!🎶 For a fun project, we enjoyed free coloring with our crayons. I added some jack o lanterns to their papers, as we had fun singing The Five Little Pumpkins while we colored.🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃 After our indoor learning, we went outside for more! We went for a walk, watched the chickens and ducks and had fun with our show and tell toys, outside. Have a great weekend!🍁🍂

Show and Tell tomorrow. Simply gorgeous weather!!! We wanted to go outside right away, but the grass was really wet-so we loaded into the car and took it through the car wash-always a fun time!!! This was the first time for this group to do this, so I was hoping it would bring squeals of laughter and no tears. We were lucky, it was all about the giggles in the car wash!!😀 When we were done, we headed home and played outside until we absolutely had to come inside to get lunch ready. We had fun running races and throwing balls and frisbees! It was absolutely beautiful outside! We are soaking up as much sunshine and warm weather while we can!☀️😎
Weekly payments are due tomorrow morning. Don't forget to add in your curriculum fee if you don't want to write two checks!😉 We had a fun outting of shopping at The Company Store for Tori's birthday. The kids LOVED that their cats ran up INTO the ceiling when we were there!😉 while we were there, they had a UPS shipment of lots and lots of boxes-the kids were amazed at all of them!! After our little shopping fun, we came home and played outside. The kids helped me pull out sunflowers and we started to trim some bushes. They had more fun with the kittens chasing the branches they were dragging around!😍 We ate meatballs, green beans and homemade applesauce for lunch. Yum! It definitely feels like fall outside, today!🍁🍂🍃
With cooler weather here, please remember those jackets for outside play time. If I use your back up jacket, please return it the next day so we have a backup here. It is always an easy 10 degrees cooler on our hill and in the shade of our backyard. It was a faith lesson day-our last one for this month's theme. We made clothes to hang on a clothesline with the bible verse-"Do good to all people." The clothes pins are a perfect small motor activity for the kids!😉 We read a few books, about farm animals and woodpeckers! The silly woodpecker pecked holes into EVERYTHING, even the book!!!😳 During morning free play, we set up the indoor tents and put a blanket over it-the girls LOVED it, the boys weren't too sure what to think about it! We had a great morning outside and even had a fun game of peek a boo going through the cannas growing around the patio bar! So many smiles and giggles when we are outside!😍
Tuesday-choir club pick up (if needed). What a beautiful fall day, at least here, away from the flood waters. We had fun with the construction play set and trio blocks before heading into our morning routine. We talked about our shoes, socks and feet today! We worked on the rhyme One, Two, Buckle My Shoe! For our project, we traced our shoes, colored the shoe prints and then glued a red shoe onto our paper. After that, we put our shoes on and headed outside!!! We ran, played with kittens, bounced balls and had fun on the slide! It was so nice outside! After that, Ms. Sarah came for Traveling Tales. She read fun books about buttons and buckles! Everyone really enjoyed and interacted with her this time!📚
Happy Birthday to Zoe!!!! She turned 6 today! What a wet Friday morning we have had! 💦 We had planned to go on a leaf hunt and do leaf rubbings, but the weather didn't cooperate.😕 We did color with fall colors and talked about favorite fall activities and things.🍂🍁🏈🍎🎃. We were inside all morning, because even after it stopped raining, it was a muddy mess outside. Instead, we got out the dollhouse and accessories and had fun pretending. We also used the dreary morning to bake cupcakes for Harrison and Tori's birthday party this weekend. We might just have to taste them this afternoon! Yum! Have a great weekend, GO PRAIRIE HAWKS and IOWA HAWKS!!!🏈 Prayers to all affected by the rising flood waters-stay safe!
Tomorrow is Show and Tell something circle shaped. It's been a cloudy day, but it has still been nice to play outside. We went for a walk, checked out the peacocks, played with pool noodles, played basketball, colored with chalk and blew bubbles-we were busy outside!! When we were inside, we read books, sang songs, danced to Little Einsteins and put a floor puzzle together.
Weekly payments are due tomorrow morning. We had a wacky Wednesday with Harrison and Tori being home this morning. Thank you for the quiet arrivals so they could sleep in (we didn't get home last night until after 12:30! 😳 It was worth the short night of sleep though! Connor also came today, so once everyone was here and the second bus picked up, we headed into Creek to drop Harrison and Tori off. On our way home, it was really looking like rain, so we played outside as soon as we got home and skipped our calendar time-we wanted to burn the sillies off!😉 Thankfully, it never rained but it sure did get windy!!!💨 After playing outside, we came in for a quick Faith Lesson and then we made happy and sad bracelets. We talked about how happy Dorcas made everyone and also how sad everyone was after she died. We talked about many emotions and we had fun making faces to match the emotions! Before I forget, I still haven't gotten a picture of Aiden and Zoe-but they are back and I will try to snap a picture this afternoon! Today was the first morning that Corbin, Aiden and Zoe all walked to the bus themselves! The littles and I watched from the window (along with Harrison and Tori, this morning)! Have a great day and enjoy the extended summer weather!!!☀️
Our neighbor is picking Tori up from Choir Club this afternoon, so we will be here. Tuesday buckles, snaps, zippers and Velcro fun!!!! We LOVE Mr. Buckles!! For our project, we made a collage of strings, ribbons and buttons! We had a great morning outside and burning off energy! It sure doesn't feel like fall out there!☀️ For our lunch, we had tuna casserole with peas and mandarin oranges! Yum!
Our Monday didn't go as planned, but that's okay. We had a case of the 'Mondays' and had some emotions running strong, with an added triple dose of runny noses, we decided to skip out on Toddler Time at the library. We didn't want to share any sickness and we wanted to go we all happy smiles. We'll try it again in a couple of weeks, since Traveling Tales will be here next Monday. We were still able to have fun at home today. We enjoyed being outside and we focused on snaps, buttons, buckles and zippers for our learning time. We pulled out Mr. Buckles, and the kids loved him!!
