Summer supplies NEED to be here. School's out!!! Thank you to everyone for bringing supplies for our cookout! We are having a great day! The littles are just now getting settled for naps, so I'll let them get their 2 hour afternoon nap in before waking them. They played hard today! We still have our ice cream treats to enjoy for snack time! We've colored, played, jumped in the bounce house and LOVED eating outside for lunch! We definitely enjoyed the outdoors a lot today! The big kids are being awesome helpers and they are enjoying more time outside on this gorgeous day while the littles rest up. Today is Graham's last day (but he'll be dropping in theoughout the summer). Kaitlyn starts tomorrow. Enjoy the summer air!

It's a short week, but a busy one. We were on the go right away with Harrison's orthodontist appointment. The kids do such a great job at the dentist office! After we dropped him back off at school, it was about 10 when we got home, so we lathered up in sunscreen, put our hats on and enjoyed the back yard (aka jungle)! We might now one of these days!! 😉 The kids helped me plant flowers and start some seeds. We will keep them watered and watch them grow! We have a new outdoor kids table, too! It will soon be a chalkboard table, but it's not done yet. We came inside to get lunch ready and to welcome home our kindergartener! Corbin is a kindergartener now!👍🏻 Enjoy the day-it's gorgeous outside! REMINDERS-no daycare on Monday, we are leaving at 8:15 on Tuesday for an appointment, cookout supplies and summer cubby supplies are due Wednesday morning. We weren't thrilled with this washout day, but if it means dry skies for the next three days-we'll take it. We played with animals, tiny stuffed toys, dollhouse and accessories and dominos. We snuck in a Puppy Days Clifford show around mid morning to break up our indoor play time. I hope everyone has a fun and safe three day weekend!
Show and Tell tomorrow. The sun came out!!!!☀️ Yea!!!! With that said, we ran to grab our groceries right away and then we were home and outside playing!!! Hide and Seek, catch, basketball and picking dandelions were just a few of the favorites happening outside. Of course, kitten fun was going on, too. Speaking of which, if you know of anyone looking for a kitten, send them our way-they are almost old enough to go to their new homes! We have 4 available and I think there are 3 more in the barn-I haven't seen them yet. I also want to pass along that it seems we have a summer cold going through-3 of the 4 littles have runny/stuffy noses. Hopefully it's nothing more. I hope everyone can enjoy the beautiful weather today!
Weekly payments are due tomorrow morning. WOW! What an energetic day! I should have made a second pot of coffee to keep up with the kiddos today! We were busy bodies, that is certain! We had a dance party, played Simon Says, free play, story time with My Country and we made Memorial Day Suncatchers. We used A LOT of glue, sobthey may not be ready to go home today!! 😮 For lunch, we are going to have chicken nuggets, green. Rams and apples. Yum! We are SUPER excited to try out our ice cream maker today! Corbin is going to help me after everyone goes down for naps so that it will be ready to eat this afternoon.
An email with LOTS of info went out today.😮Thankfully, the rain has stayed away and it has been a great day to play outside! The kids are really starting to interact between each other and not just play beside each other-it is so much fun to watch and listen to them play! The kittens are bringing lots of entertainment when we are outside!!! (Does anyone want one or two or five?)!! 😜 We had some matching girls today, their butterfly shirts were adorable! Enjoy the dry weather today!!
Prompt Pick Up TONIGHT. Rain seems to be our theme lately! It's a good thing we know how to have fun on cloudy, wet days! First, we had Connor here today, so new faces always makes us happy! They enjoyed playing restaurant in the cardboard playhouse! I ate a lot of chips and pancakes this morning! We focused on the Earth being beautiful. We talked about the rain helping the flowers to grow and making everything clean. Then we talked about when the Earth isn't clean (litter) and how that makes us sad. We made litter bags during project time and if it's not raining later, we are going to go on a walk and pick up litter. Jeb and Jethro are really good about bringing garbage into the yard (unfortunately)! We read three books today. One was a farm flip book, one was about animal best friends and our last book was a silly nonsense Eric Carle book! We had a lot of giggles while reading that book. Enjoy your Monday. We are going to enjoy the calm of this week before the craziness of school's out/summer fun starts next week!!!
Happy Friday!Wet and cold! It was just almost 90 degrees earlier this week, right?!?! Obviously, it was an indoor day with today's weather. We read books about clouds and rain, we talked about the shape square (and we had some great Show and Tell square items to play with)!◼️ Corbin and Charleigh brought the movie Trolls to share and it was perfect movie weather! The kids LOVED the movie and I LOVED the music! Such great songs in the movie!!🎶 I think it's going to be a perfect afternoon for snuggling in for naptime! Stay warm out there today! Show and Tell Square tomorrow.◼️What a change in weather! We were outside, but with coats on today-it was chilly compared to yesterday! We also ran into CR to pick up our groceries (online groceries is THE best)!😊 We are there and back without wasting much time-more play time for us! We focused on our Faith Lesson today and made Bible Banners to take home. We colored and glued items to it. We glued a yellow pom pom for the sun, yellow festoon for the straw and a cotton ball for the clouds. However, Graham was convinced and convinced everyone else that the pom pom was a tennis ball!🎾 We continued to play with the awesome cardboard coloring house that we got out yesterday afternoon. A HUGE thank you to Graham's family for passing it along to us-the kids LOVE it!❤️ Weekly payments due tomorrow morning. A stormy start to our day and it sounds like a possible stormy end to our day. As always, we have our weather radio ready, so if bad weather is near-we will go into the dungeon (and in a 117 year old house--it is a dungeon)! Fingers crossed we don't have to venture into the coal room!!🌪 We had fun today with the dragons and animals before learning about flowers. We sang I'm a Little Flower and talked about spring flowers. We also read the book, Thunder Boomer (appropriate for our day). For project time, we made a field of flowers🌼🌻🌹🌷🌸🌺💐 Enjoy the day and hopefully everyone will be picked up before the storms start in this afternoon.⛈💨
