Happy Halloween!!! We had a fun morning listening and dancing to Halloween songs, we made soapy spider webs and we made hooty necklaces! Unfortunately, we didn't get to play outside in the sunshine. :(. Parents, children NEED to have outside wear to play outside! The weather has changed and their clothing needs to change, too! Only two kiddos came with winter hats, mittens and coats today! PLEASE, make sure your child has warm enough clothing to play outside! We live in Iowa and the weather can change quickly. No coats at this point is simply unacceptable! We love and NEED to get outside to burn off energy and if children do not come prepared, we miss out on a lot of fun. We will be leaving later to go enjoy the costume parade at Prairie View. Have a safe and fun Halloween night!
Tomorrow is S&T something triangle shaped. Feel free to send the kids in their costumes again (just make sure they have regular clothes underneath)! We will leave around 2 pm to go watch the Prairie View Costume Parade and return home by 4 pm. The kids had a spooktacular time today! The parade was adorable! The kids have some goodies in their backpacks, too! Once we were back home, it was time for lunch! We plan to enjoy some more Halloween stories before going down for naps! Have a spooky afternoon!! Weekly payments are due tomorrow. Monthly payments and curriculum fees are due on Friday since the 1st falls on Saturday. Don't forget, send your child with their costumes ON tomorrow, wearing them OVER their regular clothes. I will stay and take photos of the costume parade at AGC. We had bats flying around here today!!! Aaaahhhh! We talked about bats, read about bats and made batty puppets to take home! After our batty early morning routine, we went outside to play! FYI, it was only a windchill of 38 when we went outside to play, be sure your child has warm enough outside gear to be outside to play! I am waiting to hear back from Miss Dixie on the November snack schedule to finish up my calendar for everyone. Once I get that information, I will send home the November Parwnt Packets. Have a great day! AGC Note~ Thursday is their "Costume Day", please send children with their costumes ON, WITH their regular clothes UNDER their costumes. Parade will start at 9:10 and parents are invited to come and watch in the lobby area. Thank you all for being prepared for preschool today! With our busy school schedule today, we don't get a lot of time together, but one cute funny I have to share, happened during free play while I was cleaning up breakfast. The kids play and interact and I get to listen. Today, in the middle of playtime, I hear in a deep voice and in tune, "Nationwide is on your side." It made me chuckle and just goes to show, they DO hear it all! ;) after school, we played outside until lunch was ready and then we enjoyed a little "kitty play time" with Socks (we are kitty sitting for the day). Have a great day! Preschool is tomorrow, don't forget backpacks. Friday Plans-we will be going to Prairie View to watch Harrison and Tori in their Costume Parade. We will move our daily schedule up a little on Friday so we can still get naps in before going to the school. We will leave at 2:00 pm and return by 4:00 pm. What a gorgeous Monday! Before getting outside to play, we worked on our Faith Lesson. We made No Fear Headbands to wear. We read The Little Old Lady Who Was Not Afraid of Anything and we had fun making extra sounds to go along with the story. Once we got outside, it was PLaYTIME! The kids started a soccer game all on their own and I had to chuckle when the boys scored and they all cheered Touchdown!! Too cute! They had a blast jumping in the pine needles, too! We hope the predicted storms stay away until later so we can play outside again after nap time. Have a great day! Happy Friday! I hope the weather turns around for everyone's weekend plans! This afternoon, Grandma and Papa may be here by the end of the day, we're all going to cheer on the Prairie Hawks (if this weather cooperates)! We enjoyed more Halloween fun today! The kids made 3D pumpkins for project time. The kids did a great job starting the project and curling the stem and gluing the leaf on, I had to do the final 'put together' of the pumpkin (just a little too tricky to do at 3 and 4 yet)! They are VERY cute, though! Show & Tell sharing was great and we had lots of fun playing with the jungle animals some! Have a great weekend!! S&T tomorrow (only one item). Backpacks are a MUST on preschool days! We only had two bags today, please send your child prepared for preschool every Tuesday and Thursday! We had quite the surprise this morning when we left to go to school! Marbles spent the night in my car, so she was happy to get out when we opened the door! Unfortunately, she took care of her business IN the car! :(. Never a dull moment here! After I dropped off the kids, I went straight to town to see if I could fix 'the smell' in the car! After preschool, it was lunchtime and a perfect day for grilled cheese and tomato soup! I love that the kids are such great soup eaters!! :) it is definitely a cozy fall day, ENJOY! Weekly payments due tomorrow. S&T anything on Friday (remember to only being ONE sharing item). Sickness alert (family), one parent has been diagnosed with strep throat, so you know...it's here!!!! :( Wash, wash, wash those hands and be sure to follow our sick policy in the upcoming months!! Due to yesterday's extra busy morning while I got kids ready and prepared for yesterday's preschool picture day, I missed information to hand into AGC, so we made a quick stop to AGC today to drop off paperwork. Our big topic now is creepy crawlies so we made Spider Masks (they may not be dry enough to go home yet today) and we made Lacing Webs, too! We really enjoyed another fabulous fall day outside! We are getting spoiled this week with sunshine! Miss Kate came today and read lots of books about Halloween! She also gave everyone a trick or treat bag! Have a great afternoon! Traveling Tales visits tomorrow. Please remember backpacks on preschool days. It was a gorgeous picture day for preschool! The kids all showed me their "picture smiles" and they all looked fabulous! :). After preschool pick up, we couldn't pass up extra outdoor play time on this beautiful day, so we came home and went straight outside to play until we absolutely HAD to come in to eat lunch! See you all this afternoon! Happy Fall Mo day! We started our day with our Faith Lesson and working on a Creepy Crawly project, as well! We made another fiery furnace and we made doorknob spiders! We sang songs, read Halloween books and revisited The Itsy Bitzy Spider finger play. Once we were done with projects, we went outside to enjoy the sunshine! Heath and I discovered 'new' toys while cleaning out the barn this weekend, so we washed up a small kitchen and workbench to play with under the wooden fort! We also found some riding toys that we are giving away (first come, first serve). We really enjoyed playing outside, but we did have to go over how we play with the kitties (please readdress that the kids only pet the kitties, no holding them and please reinforce this rule at drop off and pick up time as well). A couple of kiddos were getting very rough with the kitties today, so we need to make sure we are all following the rules at all times. I hope you can enjoy the beautiful day! |
