TODAY: pick up time is TBD (once I hear back from everyone about possibly picking up later this evening, I’ll send out a mass text to let everyone know what the game plan is). Pick up will either be “AS USUAL” or “LATE-probably around 6 pm, but I can send a message when we are leaving IC to give everyone a better time estimate” We still aren’t up to full capacity-darn RSV! It was a preschool day for the whole crew and it sounds like they had a blast! Birthday celebrations, sandbox fun, pet rock silliness and lots of fun outside with their friends. Since we are still baby free, we came home and played outside for a bit longer after pick up and then came inside to eat lunch. We had rib patties, applesauce and mixed veggies. We focused on a review of all that we learned in September and talked about what October will bring our way! We also read GRANDPA GREEN before going down for nap/rest time. IF we get the go ahead to travel to IC for the meet, we’ll be leaving around 3:15 and I’ll text when we are leaving after the meet to give you a better idea of pick up time. I’ll keep everyone posted on our plans! THANK YOU!

Regular preschool schedule for the week We started our day making a Frog Prince. We sang a little song about being a prince and we talked about fairy tales that have a prince in them. It was a day of preschool for the boys, so once back at home, the girls requested kitchen play time. They made me all kinds of yummy treats to eat. Since we weren’t on a baby schedule, we didn’t stay inside too long, it was too nice outside and we wanted to run and play in the fresh air. The gnats were not being nice today, though-thank goodness for Bug Soother! Once we grabbed the boys, we decided we could play outside some more since we didn’t need to stick to our schedule as tightly. We enjoyed the extra play time in the sun-we know are nice days are limited now.We ate a taco bake, green beans and pineapple for lunch. Before snuggling down for rest/nap time, we read ON A PIRATE SHIP and RAINBOW HAT. Enjoy this beautiful fall day!🍁☀️🍂
🤒 Still have the fever/cough combo around (RSV confirmed) and now we are awaiting a covid test, too. I’ll share as I know. Let’s hope this upper respiratory bug leaves the house soon! It was an EVERYONE AT PRESCHOOL DAY! I just love how excited they all get about school!❤️ Before we left, we worked on tracing our hands and drawing germs on them. We colored a book about germs and read it together. At school, the girls enjoyed apples (and learning how to bite into a whole apple) and the boys enjoyed their Pet Rocks. They all had Chapel today and they love that they get to have Chapel together. Once back at home from preschool pick up, we talked more about germs and how to WASH THEM AWAY! We ate Cheeseburger Macaroni, Corn and Apple Slices. Before going down for nap/rest time, we read KING BABY and BONE SOUP. We all decided Bone Soup didn’t sound to yummy to our tummies, but maybe witches like to eat eyeballs and toenails!😬 Have a great afternoon!
Regular Preschool Schedule this week Today was CIRCLE DAY and our day to catch up on some projects from kiddos being absent. Everyone was able to get their Number 3 page done and then we focused on Johnny Appleseed and the Opposites: On and Off. We made Johnny Appleseed Hats, they are drying now, so hopefully ready to wear by this afternoon. We did get a lot of work done but we also had a blast playing outside! It’s like summer again, except beautiful fall days like this bring out the boxelder bug community! Oh my gosh-so many of them out today! For lunch, we had Ham and Noodles, Peas, Garlic Bread and Bananas. Before going down for nap/rest time, we read SLEEPY BIRD and TEN IN THE DEN. I’m hopeful to get the October packets done this afternoon so they will be ready to go home today.🤞🏻
🤒Sickness Alert-Maddox is out with a fever, Benny is out with RSV With all three boys out today, we didn’t have to travel for preschool and we had a GIRL’S DAY! We started with playing babies, the doctor, then beauty shop then house…busy, busy girls this morning! It was gorgeous outside, so we played outside to soak in the Vitamin D. We also painted our toenails! For lunch, we had mozzarella sticks, pears and corn. The girls loved the mozzarella sticks, so we might have to get some more for the future. It looks like rain may be coming in, so I told the girls I’ll make some cookies during naptime for our afternoon snack-yum yum!
😷RSV is in the house-please keep our littlest family members in mind to try and keep Crew and Liam safe from this nasty virus. Off to school after talking about the number 3! We practiced writing 3s and THREE, colored 3 spiders and traced an apple and glued 3 seeds inside of it.3️⃣ I picked them all up at preschool to find the girls in their ‘zoned out look’, but about halfway home, they perked up a little-preschool must have been exhausting today! We came home and ate Beefy Mac, green beans and fruit cocktail. Our silly book for story time was CREEPY CARROTS! It was a silly book about our imaginations. We’ll be back outside this afternoon enjoying the sunshine and blue skies!☀️
Happy First Day of Fall🍁 Welcome FALL! We made Happy Fall Necklaces first thing this morning! They love to string beads! We took off to preschool to drop Maddox off and then came home to play. Littlest Pet Shop was brought out and the girls had a blast! We didn’t stay inside too long though, we got outside to play on this gorgeous day! Unfortunately, fall on the farm doesn’t smell heavenly (thanks to the billy goats)- PU!! For lunch, we had fish sticks, fruit cups and mixed veggies. At story time, we read PRINCESS DINOSAUR and WHAT HANDS CAN DO. Enjoy the day and take a moment to cloud watch-the sky is PERFECT for cloud creatures! We saw horses, turtles, ninjas and more while we were outside today!☁️
Preschool all this week, don’t forget those backpacksIt was an “EVERYONE go to school day”! The girls LOVE these days and everyone does a great job getting to school and taking care of their business! They are SUCH BIG KIDS! Our project today was the LETTER C. We write ours Cs, colored a cow, wrote C sight words and we started to make a crab-we’ll finish then later!🦀 Once we were all back home, we had Chicken & Cheese Taquitos, corn and applesauce. For story time, we read OTIS AND THE PUPPY and DIRT + WATER = MUD. We talked about the change of seasons and saying goodbye to summer and hello to fall!
Preschool days ahead with our usual schedule for this weekNo school day here, so Graham and Harper came to play today! Harrison and Tori were in and out all day, too, between Kirkwood classes, working on 4H Record Books and then they’ll be taking off for practice later today. We started with FREE PLAY, then we worked on our project with the LETTER C and made a cupcake. Once we were done with that, outside to play! Around 11:30, it was time to start lunch so we all went inside and the kids did COSMIC YOGA while I fixed breakfast for lunch-scrambled eggs, sausage patties, apple slices and bagels with cream cheese. After our tummies were full and we were nice and relaxed, we read. WHAT’S NEXT DOOR? and THE BOOK HOG. The littles are down for naps and since Harrison is outside mowing 🙌🏻🙌🏻, we are watching CARS 3 (but once he gets away from the house, we’ll get back outside). Have a great afternoon!
GO PRAIRIE HAWKS!🧡🖤 What a great Friday morning we have had! We started our day make Monster Puppets!👹😈 Once we dropped off Benny at school, it was home to play. Crew was having so much fun talking to the girls and they were loving it! After some free time inside, we went outside to play (Justin case that rain we were supposed to get came). We were lucky, it thundered and got cloudy, but besides a few sprinkles-we were good to go and run and play outside. We were happy to get to pick up Maddox from preschool today, too, since he was feeling better. Once back at home, we had mini corn dogs, peaches and broccoli. After lunch, we read QUIT CALLING ME MONSTER and we listened to the story WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE. We talked about the story and everyone shared their favorite part of the story. Several loved it when his bedroom turned into a forest and others liked it when he was the king. Everyone is resting or napping and from the looks of it, we’ll be back outside playing this afternoon. 🧡🖤
