😷🤮 Coughing /Vomiting Alert-the latter could just be an effect of the first?? Happy Friday! We had another small group today-hoping Benny feels better soon! We had to get creative today, as we didn’t have winter gear to play outside-please remember to always bring back boots and snow pants so that we have them for outside play time here! Since we didn’t have our gear, we decided to go on an impromptu fieldtrip into CR. First stop, Theisens for popcorn and baby chick fun! So many little chicks in the store! While we were there, we looked at rabbit hutches (in my opinion, Mr. Midnight needs to move outside) and we bought some cat food for the barn kitties. Since we were in CR, I set up a grocery pick up and then snagged those before we came home. The kids were great helpers with the groceries (and it kept them off the squishy yard)! We skipped our morning project since we were on the go instead, but we’ll tackle our Month End Certificate after Maddox wakes up from naptime. Since it’s just Charleigh and Rylan here, I told them they could watch a movie during naptime, so they agreed upon Ratitouilli (although I’m sure I just butchered his name)😬 I hope everyone can enjoy the upcoming weather this weekend and hopefully air out the houses! So ready for spring weather every day!☀️🌿🌼🌱 If we have time this afternoon, we’re going to plant tomato and pepper seeds-we bought our supplies while at Theisens!🍅

TODAY-Pick up at our house at 1 or at preschool at 3:30 (the kids are VERY excited to have parents pick up at preschool)!😊 Thank you for arranging things for our time with family-Hubert will be greatly missed, one of the good ole guys.💔 A small group today with only 3 kiddos here. We enjoyed puzzle time, look and find books, littlest pet shop and the dress up toys-we had elephants, lions and bunnies here this morning!🐘🐅🐇 For our project today, we focused on the number 14. Writing skills are improving SO MUCH while writing numbers! The kids also had to put the numbers 1-14 in order and glue them down (14 ants on an ant hill)🐜. We are gobbling up a ‘picnic lunch’ of PB&J, carrot sticks with ranch and bananas. We are SO READY for a REAL picnic lunch outside!☀️ Thank you all again for the earlier pick up today.
FUNERAL PLANS: I will drop off Bennett at Paige’s, the preschoolers off at 12:30 and be back at the house by 1:00 for Maddox to be picked up for the 1 PM CLOSING tomorrow for the visitation. Preschool ends at 3:30 for pick up at AGC. I will be here all day on Friday, while Heath travels back to be with family. Yea for SUNSHINE today!☀️ I was also told the weekend looks to be another great one!😄 We were busy this morning being VERY creative with our minds and various art materials. We talked about flowers, our favorites, the colors they can be and how they grow. We sang a new FLOWER PLANTING SONG, too.🌹🌷💐🌺🌸🌼🌻 After circle time, we took construction paper, Q-tips, Pom poms and popsicle sticks, along with our markers and created our very own flowers! They are beautiful! We had Ms. Sarah visit and read books to us about hugs! She was jealous that all of us were in our pajamas!😂 For lunch, Graham suggested butter noodles, so I got creative in the kitchen and made garlic butter noodles, along with peas and orange smiles-it was a hit! We’ll be off to enjoy preschool in our jammies soon!
Tomorrow:Traveling Tales visits and PAJAMA DAY! Q is for quarter, queen, quilt, quail and quack! We worked on writing Qs, reviewing site words and we turned a Q into a quail! We had fun building with blocks galore today! Waffle blocks, wooden blocks and foam blocks-we even had the tools out and the kids were ‘remodeling’-their word, not mine! I love their creativity! For lunch, it was goulash, corn and fresh apple slices. We’ll be heading out to preschool soon!
THIS WEEK: Happy Monday! It sounds like Mother Nature is trying to possibly throw some snow our way this week! This weekend was a teaser for everyone! Hope the kids got outside and burnt off steam this weekend!☀️ We were busy this morning and worked hard on sequencing. They had to put snowman pictures in order, glue them down, then color the pics. It was a little challenging for a few, but they worked hard and got it! We’ll be eating burgers, green beans and fruit cocktail for lunch before we head off to preschool. March packets are in their boxes and extra clothes from back up cubbies and a note if your child needed anything in their back up cubby. Most of the cubbies were well stocked! Please bring in any items needed as soon as you can. Also, please remember to clean out preschool backpacks EVERY day! Just a paper or toy causes a lot of distractions when trying to get ready to go places and bags are full with snow gear still, so a quick clean out each night is a HUGE help-thank you for doing this each night!
PROMPT PICK UP AS SOON AS YOU CAN GET HERE today-we are off to compete for gymnastics. |
