Tomorrow is AUGUST! Today was the day for us to get back to normal (whatever that might be). We literally just enjoyed being here and playing! We played inside, outside and just had lots of fun! Heath was home today, but he was outside working a lot of the time. The kids enjoyed being his gophers when he needed some little helpers.😉 The littles are down for naps and the bugs are getting a solid 30 minutes of reading in (Tori is reading The Magic Tree House out loud). We're having a great Monday and hope you are, too!

August calendars are going home today. Happy Birthday, Corbin!!! 6 today! We made a trip into Theisens this morning and then we were home to play and kick back until lunch time. After lunch, we dropped the big kids off at the library for reading support and Friday flix. We'll pick them up around 3:30, then we'll come home for Corbin's birthday treats! I hope everyone enjoys the upcoming weekend-looks like a beautiful weekend for everyone!☀️
Weekly payments dropped off today. We were on the go and busy today. First, we ran to the bank then we were off to the fair. We watched our goats get baths, played in the corn box, saw lots and lots of animals, watched a sheep show and enjoyed a picnic lunch. We will not be going to gymnastics today, Heath will be taking Tori and a friend there instead of us (which is ok since we got a later start in our nap time). We're hoping the storms hold off. Next week-daycare closed on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. Weekly payments due on Wednesday. We will be making a trip to the bank to sign some paperwork on Wednesday and we may make a trip to the fairgrounds, too. On Friday, IF the kid's goats are entered into the auction, we will all be going down as soon as everyone arrives on Friday morning. We had cross country run I g this morning and then we took Jeb and Jethro over to the neighbor's house for a grooming day. We played outside until lunch time and now we'll be in for the day-too hot! After lunch, we dropped off the big kids for Reading Support and a movie. Charleigh and I will go back to pick them up around 3:30. Enjoy your weekend and stay cool!
Daycare is closed tomorrow-we will be back on Friday. We were in the go right away today. We dropped Harrison off at XC, then stopped at the store to pick up project folders, paper and a binder (fair fun). We were on our way home on 76th Ave and the kids had a BLAST! First, they found HeTh and Max's trucks at their work, then they saw a crop duster-up REALLY close and then they saw Harrison running for XC. They were loving all of the excitement! We came home and took pictures of Tori for fair while everyone played outside (it was somewhat cool)! After we got Harrison at 10, they wanted nothing to do with outside (I don't blame them, it is miserable out there). The older kids decided they wanted to stay here instead of the library--they have their own fun going and didn't want to go back outside. We will be here until 3:30, then we will be taking Tori to gymnastics. Stay cool!
Weekly payments are due TOMORROW! A day early-checks will not be deposited until their normal day (Thursday). We had a quick run to the school this morning (Harrison broke his school computer, so he had to take it in, get it fixed and pay for it). We had fun walking new halls at the school with all of the construction going on! Corbin and Charleigh got to see a family friend (another wrestling coach), while we were there. Once we were back home, we played outside. It was hot, but the shade and breeze kept us cool. Harrison and Tori worked on projects between play times. It sounds like a hot week from now on---try to stay cool! Fair craziness is HERE!🍀 Tonight is our LAST prompt pick up for dog training!! We were on the go all morning! H and T had make up sports from being gone, so we dropped Tori off at gymnastics at 9:50, picked up Harrison from XC at 10 and then we ran errands until it was time to pick up Tori at noon. We picked up photos for fair record books, we stopped at Pet's Playhouse to buy Steve some food and water conditioner (and see all of the other animals-puppies, fish, snakes, lizards, turtles, birds, guinea pigs and mice), then we went to Lowe's to buy more supplies for fair projects. We finished just in time to get Tori and then it was home for lunch and naps. We were on the go, but had fun doing it! Bi-Monthly payments due tomorrow. We started our day with a quick trip to pick up our groceries. On the way there, the kids thought we needed to go to Theisens. Unfortunately, we can always use something from there. So, after loading our groceries, we went and bought cat food (and ate popcorn). Once we were home, it was time to change clothes and have a water day! We filled the pool and they didn't waste any time getting in. Heath ended up coming home this morning so that he can work an overnight shift tonight. He'll be home in the morning tomorrow (needing some sleep), so we'll probably find a park to play at in the morning (if the weather cooperates) so that he can get some sleep. Enjoy the less humid air today! Weekly payments due tomorrow. Hot, hot, hot-nothing pleasant about it! We did get outside this morning and stayed out until lunch time, but we probably won't be going back out later. We might watch a movie after snack time. We'll be lying low and staying cool.
Weekly payments due Thursday. Only three kiddos today! They were my 4H farm hands today. We had to pick up feed at the coop, deliver dog showmanship papers to our old leader, pick up fair shirts and take care of the farm. We'll be doing chores together later today (we already had them done this morning, trying to beat the rain). After our errands, we played outside. It was really nice out until the muggy meter kicked in. Stay cool today!
