Monthly payments due tomorrow morning. Happy Leap Day!! We talked about Leap Day and how it only comes around once every four years. The next time we will see February 29th, the preschoolers will be 8 and 9!!!! WOW!😮
We worked on our self portraits today and we had fun coloring a frog picture during our project time. Today was our first day of practicing our full names, our parent's names, our address and our phone numbers! We'll be doing this every day at circle time and hopefully they will have it down by fall. The weather is gorgeous outside today! We enjoyed running and playing in the sunshine! It sounds like snow for tomorrow!!! Don't forget, their snow boots are here and in the cubby closet! Make sure snow pants are still in their school bags. Drew is snack helper on Monday. Busy, busy day for us!! We started out with breakfast pizza-you can't go wrong with breakfast pizza!!! Since the weatherman said it was to slowly warm up a little today-we flopped our schedule around. We watched a video early, before the sun decided to greet us for the day! After that, we ran outside to burn off the wiggles!! Thankfully, it isn't muddy anymore! Tag, basketball, survivor game and sidewalk chalk were the big hits!! After outdoor time, we came back inside for lunch and then had Reading Time. After cleanup, I read We're Going On A Bear Hunt and The Giving Tree. We also shared for Show and Tell!!! We had such GREAT and CREATIVE X items!!! Very impressive! After sharing we enjoyed making butterfly puppets. We're ready to go back outside and enjoy some warmer temps now that the sun is shining bright!
No school tomorrow-full house here. Our morning fun got side tracked with an insurance visit. Property pictures needed updated, so we didn't make it to the library. We caught up on some February loose ends and worked on some magazines. We were working hard at following directions while working. After reading and project time, we went outside. Our outdoor time was cut short, as ALL of the kids were VERY cold-that wind was fierce!💨. We came inside and enjoyed playing with the dollhouse instead (much warmer)! We can't wait for tomorrow when all of the big kids are here!!!
Weekly payments due tomorrow. Happy Wednesday! We are continuing to learn about taking care of our bodies. Today, we focused on safety. We also talked about knowing our address and phone number. We are going to have practice sheets so we can learn this information. I need YOUR help though. Can everyone PLEASE send me a message, email or share with me at pick up time, WHAT phone number do you want your child to learn? In today's technology world, I know a lot of you don't have home numbers, so please let me know which number you want your child to learn.☎️
We also had our final faith lesson for February. We made God Will Provide Headbands. The kids put broccoli, cauliflower, grapes and lemons on their headbands. Some even turned them into Mickey Mouse ears! After project time, we went outside to color with our new sidewalk chalk!!! They had a blast, even though it was very chilly outside!💨 Kaitlyn is snack helper tomorrow. We didn't do much, other than play today!! But in a kid's world-there is a lot of learning going on during that play time. It was just SO nice outside, so we wanted to enjoy it!! The kids are really practicing their dribbling skills!🏀 I'm very impressed with their ball handling skills. Also, along that line, Ely Parks and Rec have youth soccer for 4 and 5 year olds coming up. I THINK the price is $30 and held right at Ely City Park (the newest park by the trail with the pond, concession stand, etc). Again, I'm not definite, but I think it's on Monday nights. Just sharing in case you want to get your little sport busy this spring. Info can be found on the Ely City webpage. Enjoy the warm sunshine today! We are!☀️
Week Ahead-Kaitlyn snack helper on Wednesday, Zoe snack helper on Thursday, Weekly Payments due on Thursday morning, Prompt pick up on Thursday (band concert), no school on Friday, Show and Tell X (be creative)For a Full Moon, we have had a great day!!😄. Being able to be outside for longer helps a lot! We worked on our letter and turned our X into an x-Ray. We read The Tooth Book, too-it was silly! The kids are super excited to almost be done with the letters! We should be done with our books before Spring Break!!! Enjoy the sunshine!
