We got our outside time in right away this morning! We tried to beat the heat with early outside time and the pool!💦 We left to get the boy's at XC by 10:45 and then went inside to play in the cool air until lunch time. We had lots of fun having Benny and Graham here for the day. After lunch and story time, we talked about our afternoon~ we're thinking we'll be enjoying ice cream on this hot, Friday afternoon!🍦 Have a GREAT weekend!

Monthly and Bi-Monthly payments due tomorrow (post dated). Happy Thursday! It's starting to get HOT! We picked up Tori and her friend at 9:30 and we saw Harrison's coach and he told us 'at least another 30 minutes before the boys were done', so we decided to go to Creek Playground and play while we waited. Once we were back at home, we played outside and the big kids took the goats on their daily walk. After lunch, we had to make our afternoon plans. Tori and her friend wanted to do 'Nailed It-A Cupcake Challenge' at the library at 2 and the boys decided they wanted to do the Chocolate Bingo at the library at 2 (something for everyone)!😊 We dropped the schoolagers off at Rainbow Park at 1 so that they could walk over to the library at 2 for the fun events. Charleigh is snoozing and her and I will go pick up the schoolagers around 3:15. Stay cool!
Weekly payments due tomorrow. Wednesdays are for some serious lego building! We picked up all of the XC kids around 9:15 and then we enjoyed the rest of our morning playing outside. Corbin was a GREAT helper, as I was weeding while we were outside and he pitched right in to help pull weeds!😊 For lunch, we ate hot dogs, yogurt and bananas. After lunch, we read DOGGONE DOGS and THE KISSING HAND.💋. We dropped off the school agers for Reading Support at 12:45 and they were going to wait and see if they wanted to attend the 2 pm program. If they don't stay for the Grout Museum, they'll be going to the park. The littles and I are going to stay home since today's program was geared towards the school age kids more than the littles. We'll go pick them up at 3:30 and then take Tori to gymnastics. Enjoy the sunshine today!☀️
Reading Time: 20 minutes Squinkies, slugs and silly puppets were the toys to play with inside. Once it looked like the rain was gone, we played outside on the patio until it was time to go pick up the XC boys from Ultimate League. We are having a blast with 'new to us' toys outside! We love it when friends share their old toys!❤️. We ate beefy mac, corn and apple slices for lunch. The big kids took the goats for their walk right after lunch, to try and beat the rain. The littles and I stayed inside and read from our 'treasure chest' (Ms. Tracy brought us a new tote full of library books)! The littles are down napping and with today's on again/off again weather, the big kids decided to stay home. Right now, they have ALL of the Levi's out and they are building away! We also decided today would be a good oobleck day, so we have the supplies out and they will be creating that soon! Fingers crossed for an easy going weather afternoon!
A glance at our week~ Welcome to another week and the last one of June!😲 I can't believe next week we will be celebrating the 4th of July!!🇺🇸. As a reminder, next Monday I am scheduled for Jury Duty, I will contact everyone on Sunday evening and let you know if my number gets called in. If I do not get called, I WILL be available to work-if not, I'll be spending my day at the courthouse and unable to be open. Also, I will be closed on Wednesday for the holiday and Thursday and Friday for vacation (4th-6th). We enjoyed today's wonderful weather! It was SO nice outside! We ran and grabbed Tori and Harrison, but then went right back outside to playing! We had a 'water free pool day'! The pool was out and empty and made for the perfect play area!🤣 The kids had a blast running the cars and trucks down the slide of the pool. We came inside when we absolutely had to get some lunch in our tummies and filled them with chicken, green beans and bananas. After lunch, we read stories and settled down for an afternoon siesta. We'll be taking Tori to gymnastics this afternoon.
HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND!Friday Fun with Food!!!😊 After the call to pick up Tori from the Ely trail for XC, we snuck a stop into the bakery. Unfortunately, they were sold out of everything...but cookies. That didn't stop us, we had a morning treat of cookies-yum! We traveled back home to play in Tori's room, color and build with trio blocks. Once we got the call for Harrison, we loaded up to go get him and then dropped of XC friends, delivered some eggs and cheese and then we went into CR to eat lunch. The plan was Chick Filet, but they were PACKED! We stopped at Wendy's as a back up plan and ate lunch out. After that, we went to Kohl's to buy new dress pants for Harrison for a wedding this weekend (hopefully these will fit him for a few months)!! A brick on his head might help!😜. We're home now for a late afternoon nap and the older kids came home and didn't want to watch Peter Rabbit at the library. They are in a fort in Tori's room, instead!
Reading Time-20 minutes. We started out with free play before heading out to do XC pick up. We snagged Tori and Harrison's friends from XC (Harrisonwentvto Des Moines with his coach), then we grabbed our groceries while we were out. Thankfully, the sun was out at that time, so we went home and played outside on the patio (the yard was still sloppy wet). We stayed outside until the sky started rumbling. For lunch, we had meatballs, peas and homemade applesauce. For story time, one of our book's was perfect for today's weather---IF I RAN THE RAINFOREST.🌧 Tori and Corbin had thought about going to the library for Wickiup Hill fun, but the stormy weather changed their minds. They are coloring and creating awesome artwork now and are discussing what movie they may watch. Stay dry today (if you can)!
Reading Time: 25 minutes (Are you filling out those Summer Reading Logs from the library? The prizes are awesome!) More clouds and more rain kept us inside when we weren't running from place to place. We enjoyed the trio blocks again (lots of creativity) and the princess horses this morning. When Tori was done at XC, we ran and picked her up and then went to the farm store (needed some goat meds). After that, we ran back and picked up the boys. Once back home, Tori doctored up her goat, Tootsie Roll, while we played inside some more. For lunch, we had fish fillets, pearsand corn. We just dropped off the school agers in town so that they could hide some rocks before heading to the library for Reading Support. The littles are going to take a short nap and then we'll head into the library at 2 for the Mississippi River Museum visit!🐢🐍 We can't wait to see what they bring! After the program, we'll take Tori to gymnastics before heading back home for the day!
Reading Time: 20 minutes Rainy, rainy, rainy! We enjoyed free play with the trio blocks and magnetic dress up dolls before we ran to pick up Tori from XC. Once we picked her up, we took her to Graham and Benny's house. Graham loved seeing everyone and Benny gave awesome hugs! They even gave us some toys and books that they were done with!😍 (These 'new to us' toys and books were awesome on this rainy day)! After dropping Tori off to babysit, we went back to the school to pick up the boys. We now know what it's like to sit in a car with 3 sweaty and soaking wet teenage boys! 🤣 The boys all got caught n the major downpour we had today---I was ready to hand them all a bar of soap!😉 We all got a little wet when we got back home and had to run to the house in the downpour!💦 Mac n cheese, peas and apples filled our tummies for lunch.
See weekly calendar for our 'on the go' news! Happy Monday! We enjoyed free play with Squinkies, manga doodles and easy reader chapter books before heading out to pick up XC kiddos. When we got home, the littles and I went outside to play in the pool (the only place to be if outside)! The school agers wanted to stay inside. For lunch, it was a sandwich day with yogurt and fresh strawberries. I thought it was going to be a library afternoon for the school agers, but I think the heat was too much for them, as they asked if they could just stay home today instead of the library fun. We read some silly stories and sang songs, too. After naptime, we'll be taking Tori to gymnastics at 4 and then home again. I hope you can all stay cool today!
