Trio blocks, babies and trains is how our day started! For our project, we had some working on an X page and others making a book about rainforest animals. After our project, outside to play! We wanted to enjoy the weather before it turned and we got to! By lunch time, that wind was pretty fierce and blowing toys around and dirt in our eyes!🙁 For lunch, we had flatbread cheese pizzas, pears and carrots...plus chocolate milk again! 😍. After quiet book time, I read BONE SOUP and WHAT WILL I BE? Since the wind was still pretty strong, we opted for THE GOOD DINOSAUR while the younger boys grab a nap. We’ll head back outside after snack time. Hang on to your hats out there!

Weekly fees due Thursday. Tuesday Afternoon....the best! The sun is out and the kids are playing! Fresh air at its finest (although I wouldn’t mind a little more warmth)!☀️ Today, we focused on our school packets. Some read stories and answered questions, some did color by number and some identified objects made of wood and documented the weather-a lot going on with Pre K-3rd grade! We enjoyed being outside as much as we could! The razors have been a huge hit while outside. We ress as d the book THE YEAR I DIDN’T HAVE SCHOOL, it was nothing like our year though! Ask the kids why they didn’t have school and where they went. I’m sure we will still be outside this afternoon. Enjoy the day!
I hope all of the moms were spoiled all weekend! Thank you to those who remembered me on Friday! The gifts were amazing! ❤️Monday fun day! Since we don’t pick up our packets until lunch time, we spent our project time making pictures for Journey. Her time was cut short here due to a job layoff, so we are keeping our fingers crossed he will get a call back to work and if he does, Journey will return. She had a great time here and Corbin and her really hit it off-we are going to miss having her here. We made cards that I will be sure to get to her. Along with our usual bag of goodies, I’m sending home our grass cups we started awhile back-the kids are amazed that the grass grew with just water and a cotton ball with the seeds!🌱 Before lunch, the kids had an intense soccer game going⚽️. For lunch, we had mini corn dogs, peppers, pears and chocolate milk (for those that wanted it). After lunch and quiet book time, I read Elephant and Piggie before getting the little boys snuggled in for a nap. We’re heading back outside to play and keeping our fingers crossed that it doesn’t rain! Have a great Monday!
Happy Mother’s Day to all of our amazing mommies!🌸 I hope each of you are spoiled by your kiddos!Burr! Who upset Mother Nature? That wind from the north is COLD today! We have played outside, but I’m trying to get enough strength to head back out-hats and mittens should not be required in May!! We’ve been busy working on Mother’s Day presents and making pictures for Corbin and Charleigh (they aren’t here today, but we are thinking of them, as they had to put their beloved, Cooper, to rest today.😢 I’ll be sure to get the cards to the VanDee family. The two little boys are down napping and we’ll be going outside again, later! Stay warm and enjoy the weekend.
If you haven’t brought in sunscreen or hats yet, please do so.Thursday already?!? We started our day with babies and animals (Legos took a break today)! We had our school packets today, so the preschoolers worked on the story, THE MITTEN and traced all kinds of lines to help Nickie find his mitten and they wrote some character names from the story. The school agers had a fitness assignment and worked out to a name they created together, which ended up being Corcor Brynley. Each letter had an exercise to go with it, so they went outside to get their workout in while the preschoolers did their assignment. Then, outside to play, it was...for everyone! We enjoyed watching the field to the south of us burn, which sparked lots of questions about burning and fires. We picked up lunch and it was Taco Pizza, oranges and mixed veggies. After quiet book time, I read. PLAN AND PREPARE~FIRE SAFETY (how fitting with the morning fire show we had) and we read NOT A STICK, which was a silly book about using your imagination! We are going to start a movie once naptime starts, simply because Harrison is mowing the yard this afternoon (once he gets done around the house, we’ll be heading back outside to play)! Enjoy the day!☀️
Weekly fees due tomorrow. It was a colorful Wednesday, as we reviewed our colors!🌈 The preschoolers all worked on writing color words and then coloring pictures. They also made rainbow stars. Since the school agers are well versed in their colors, they had fun with colors with an intense game of Uno. Before heading outside, the kids counting how many colors they each had on-big shocker, the girls had the most colors by a long shot! We played outside, picked dandelions and colored with chalk until lunch time. We had chicken nuggets a, applesauce and peppers and carrots for lunch. We also all tried fried dandelions-they were delicious!🌼 We had an episode of Phineas and Ferb while I cleaned up and now we are back outside playing while the little boys catch a snooze. Enjoy the sunshine today-even though it started out chilly, it sure is nice out now!😎
May calendars and packets went out yesterday/today. The rain kept us inside today, but we kept busy. Legos are STILL their first choice when it comes to free play-imaginations running strong! We focused on the star shape for the preschoolers and since learning packets weren’t available yet today, the school agers worked on a good game of Uno together while the preschoolers did their project. Lunch today was ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️, according to the kids! Mini pancakes, hash browns, cheese omelets and pears-they gobbled it all up and LOVED it! 😋 Since it’s Cinco De Mayo, I read CHICKS AND SALSA after they settled down with quiet book time. Olé Maddox is down for a nap and with the yucky weather outside, I surprised them with a movie (one of my favorite books as a child-HOMEWARD BOUND, THE INCREDIBLE JOURNEY. 🐶🐱🐶 I’ve already heard a lot of giggles since I started it, so we’ll see how much they like it. Have a great afternoon!
Happy May Day!We had a smaller group today, but we had our buddy Maddox back!🙂 We opted out of school packets, but everyone worked on projects. We made May Day Flowers, colored a Color By Flower page and we planted grass seeds using only cups, Cotton balls, water and grass seed! The kids can’t wait to see how long it takes for the grass to grow!🌱 We enjoyed playing outside and then we dropped Harrison off at the park for a crash course in show choir dancing from an upperclassman (we’ll see if he does the online audition or not)?!?! We grabbed our lunches and then played outside some more while I baked the flatbread cheese pizzas! We had pears and carrots to go along with it-the kids really enjoyed the flatbread pizza. We read books after lunch and now we are outside playing away! Enjoy the weekend!☀️
