Contracts need signed and returned. Happy Friday! We had a Girls Day with just Ava and Charleigh this morning. We had fun dressing up babies, doctoring them, playing with Littlest Pet Shop, dollhouse fun and playing hair salon! It was on again, off again rain most of the morning, so we stayed dry inside. Show and Tell friends were a baby doll and a horse! We ate breakfast for lunch-eggs, sausage and homemade applesauce! Yum! Have a great weekend and GO IOWA!!!!🏈

Show and Tell tomorrow (free choice) Does anyone have extra bottles around the house? I'm ready to start bottling up this weather before Old Man Winter starts knocking on our doors! Absolutely gorgeous! We spent A LOT of time outside! Sunshine and fresh air makes everything better!☀️ Before heading out, we enjoyed our Calendar Time together. Have the kids begun counting for you yet? We sing and do a few things every morning that will eventually happen automatically. We sing a Welcome Song, we sing The Days of the Week, we count the days, we sing What's The Weather and we sing Who's Here Today. Be on the look out for a croupy cough-all of the kids that are here today are showing signs of cold-like symptoms, so beware, in case that nasty cough sneaks in.
Weekly payments due tomorrow morning. Sickness Alert: croup has made it's debut for this season. Croup is highly contagious and spreads like the common cold. Most likely, we have all already been exposed, so be on the lookout for cold like symptoms and accompanied by a "barking" cough. Children may attend daycare as long as they can participate in our daily routine without issues, as long as they do not have a constant cough, and as long as they don't have a constant, runny and discolored nose drainage. If your child developed a fever with it, they will need to be out until they are 24 hours fever free without the use of fever reducing medications. Croup is a 'long' illness, but the typical rest and fluids is usually what is recommended. If your child is needing more one on one attention to cope with the bug, a day at home is needed.
Moving on...more sunshine and blue skies! We worked on our Faith Lesson today and talked about Peter praying for Dorcas. We made Peter and Dorcas puppets to take home. We had a great time running around outside! We love the fall like weather. We made another batch of homemade applesauce, too! We read books about manners and being kind. Hippo says there is always room for one more friend! We'll be gone today from 3:30-4ish, picking Tori up from choir club. Rainy day!☔️ We drive down to the bus stop this morning so we wouldn't get caught in a rain storm again! We had fun exploring trio blocks, cars, kitchen play and the musical instruments today. We also had fun putting apples through the apple corer, slicer, peeler so that we could make a batch of applesauce. Yum! The house smells yummy!🍎 We had chicken and noodles, pears with gelatin and corn for lunch. We read a fun ABC I Spy book before nap time.
Tuesday-We will be picking Tori up from choir club between 3:30-4ish. What a gorgeous Monday! We had fun inside and outside today! For our project this morning, we made a Myself Mobile to take home and share with our families. After we played outside, we had our first Traveling Tales visit from Ma. Sarah. The kids were a tough crowd for her, but they did a great job sitting and listening, just not a lot of interactions yet. I'm sure in a couple of months, the words and songs will be pouring from them! She brought us a big box of books to go along with our themes!!! We read three of them after lunch before we snuggled in for naps.
A reminder to check cubbies daily-we are in project mode! Also, important notes from me go in the cubbies if you need supplies brought in. |
