TOMORROW: Closing at 1 PM, let me know at pickup tonight or drop off tomorrow who will be picking up early. The kids will be home from preschool and lunch in their tummies, ready for naps. With the rain this morning and now the cold wind this afternoon, we’ve only been in and out for preschool runs. It was pouring after drop off, so we came home and played inside with magnetic dress up dolls, peg boards and the Happy Meal toy bucket. We decided to watch Frozen while we played, too. Thankfully, the rain stopped for us at pick up time, but it was still windy and cold-burr! We made Elephant Puppets this morning and they should be dry by this afternoon. For lunch, it was feel good food of macaroni and cheese, peas and peaches. We read SNIFF LIKE A SHARK and learned about really cool superpowers that sea animals have and we read ABOUT A BEAR.

THURSDAY: Closing at 1PM-Divisional XC Meet It was our Ee Day, aka Ellie and Emmie Day! We worked on our E scrapbook page, our E sight word page and a few started to make their eagles. We’ll finish them up this afternoon.🦅 It was a fun day for EVERYONE at preschool! It sounds like they were busy playing (but not on the playground-it was too wet), going to Chapel and getting their eyes checked. The ride home from preschool was filled with them singing JESUS LOVES ME!🥰 For lunch, we had Cheesy Chicken and Rice Casserole, fruit cocktail and carrots with ranch. It’s beautiful outside, so our plan is to finish our eagles and get outside as soon as we can this afternoon!
THIS WEEK: We’ve made the best of a very dreary start to our week. We started with some Free Play with Trio Blocks and Babies. Ms. Sarah and Bobo came for a Traveling Tales visit and read silly books about Pants….or was it NO PANTS?!?!? The kids enjoyed the silliness with her. We definitely had some sillies to shake out, so that’s exactly what we did next. We played a few songs and games on the TV and laughed a lot. We played Simon Says, Tootie Ta, Shake My Sillies Out and Blast Off. After we got some wiggles out of us, we played with tools and tiny animals for a bit before working on our project. We focused on how we are alike and how we are different. We each made a frame and then painted our hands to make handprints. Our hands were green, so we instantly began to pretend we were the Incredible Hulk. For lunch, we had mini corn dogs, green beans, pineapple and milk. We read THE SOMEONE NEW before snuggling down for an afternoon rest on this very rainy day.
NEXT WEEK: Thursday was a short day, but a busy one! We started our day with Stella the Square before the kids were off to their Preschool Fieldtrip! The kids were SO EXCITED to ride the bus, go with their mommies and daddies and to pick apples! Thank you all for making arrangements for yesterday’s early closure-it was a wet and long XC meet (Tori ran the first race and Harrison ran the last race), but it was so worth it! Both kids placed 2nd for their team in each race with some tough competition.
Today, we started our day focusing on the color ORANGE. After working on our scrapbook page, everyone traced a fish with their orange marker and then glued eyes and fins onto their fish. The boys were off to preschool and the girls and Crew stayed dry inside playing with blocks, littlest pet shop and their silly imaginations! For lunch, we had pizza rolls, oranges and corn. Before settling down for the afternoon, we read SHAKE DEM HALLOWEEN BONES and THE LITTLE OLD LADY WHO WAS NOT AFRAID OF ANYTHING🎃 Don’t forget something ORANGE on Monday!🧡🎃🦊🍊 GO HAWKS!🖤💛 Daycare is CLOSING AT 1 PM tomorrow (Thursday). Please let me know at drop off who is planning to pick up early. Happy Wednesday-halfway there! We are still focusing on fire safety and we made firefighter hats this morning. We also colored emergency phones and talked about 911. We learned a fun little song about calling 911, so if the kids can remember it! It was a preschool day for the boys, so when we got back home, we pulled out the BIG dollhouse to play with while I got Crew settled for his morning nap. We played inside and outside before it was time to go get the boys again . For lunch, we had walking tacos and strawberries. The kids either ate everything separate or mixed together, it was their choice. Have a great afternoon!
Typical preschool schedule this week 🚕 A much cooler Tuesday-don’t forget to bring those coats…we’ll be working hard on putting our own coats on with the coat flip trick and working on zipper skills! Everyone was excited to go to school and they had chapel together, so that’s even extra special! The girls brought their bibles home today, too. I’m starting to hear a few more names from preschool, so they are spreading their wings a little while at school. We focused on the letter Dd today. We started to make a dinosaur, but we’ll be finishing it up this afternoon-there we’re a lot of parts to color and cut! 🖍✂️ For lunch, we ate Cheesy Chicken and Pasta with Veggies, Strawberry Applesauce, dinner roll and milk. Yum yum-they all gobbled it up. Before rest/nap time, we read I WANT TO BE A FIREFIGHTER and WEE WITCHES’ HALLOWEEN!🧙🏻♀️
THIS WEEK: Yea!!! We are all back together! Whew! That was a long, drawn out virus-hoping we all stay healthy now! Today was all about FIRE SAFETY. We colored a fire truck, glued on a ladder and hose and learned what to do if our clothes catch on fire. Stop, Drop and Roll. We enjoyed play time both inside and outside. The sun wasn’t out and it was a little chilly, but we still enjoyed the fresh air, playing catch, digging holes and swinging. For lunch, we had French toast sticks, sausage patties and mandarin oranges. Breakfast always makes them happy and they always fill up fast-Yum! We read FLASHING FIRE ENGINES after lunch and watched a video on fire safety and watched the song We Are The Firefighters. Enjoy your Monday!
Show & Tell is FREE CHOICE on Monday Happy Friday! We are ALMOST all back to full capacity. Crew is still out, but we are very hopeful he’ll be back on Monday and that the two remaining Healthy Queens can continue to fight off the RSV bug! 🤞🏻🤞🏻 We started our day talking about our family and our home. We drew a picture of our family and then colored our houses. I absolutely love watching kids draw people❤️❤️ It just warms my heart to watch and listen as they draw faces, smiles, arms and legs on their little people! Next, it was off to school and then home to play outside. Thankfully, there has been a nice breeze all morning to help keep the bugs at bay. After preschool pick up, we snuck in some more outside play time since we have an easier going schedule. We FINALLY came inside to eat brat patty sandwiches, pears and broccoli. Before snuggling down (a lot later than usual), we read LOOKING FOR COLORS WITH LILY AND MILO and NIGHTY, NIGHT, LITTLE GREEN MONSTER. Enjoy your Friday and GO HAWKS! 🖤💛
