Weekly Fees due Thursday morning by 8 am. We wasted no time getting outside to soak in the sunshine and fresh air, knowing our days and times are becoming more and more limited with Old Man Winter knocking. While everyone arrived, we listened to the Disney Holiday Sing A Long while we played with Trio Blocks and Barbies. Once everyone was here, we got busy with our day. Today was fun with Jingle Bells, so we sang songs, danced and made Jingle Bell Necklaces. The kids worked so hard on putting the beads on their strings. I love how determined they all are to make them all by themselves! Once we were done, it was a quick online book to listen to while I prepped lunch and then it was outside to play! Oh my goodness, it was SO nice outside! I tried telling them they weren't hungry and that we should just skip lunch and stay outside all day...but they didn't fall for it! We were outside for over 2 hours and loved every minute of it! We finally came inside for lunch and we ate pizza crunchers, pineapple, potato wedges and our milks. We finished up our normal morning routine with clean up, bathroom breaks, quiet book time and then I read a story before naptime. We'll definitely be getting back outside to enjoy more of this beautiful day after our afternoon snack. Enjoy the day if you can!

Prompt Pick Up Tuesday (volunteering time at the library). The year of grace and flexibility! I'll continue to send out reminders of our changes, look on the door for updates and be ready for anything! ;) Please continue to monitor health conditions of EVERYONE in your family to help us prevent any spread within our 'daycare family'. We'll be back in preschool mode for a few days, so please be aware of these days so that everyone is at daycare by 7:45 am, so we have time to prep and be ready to head out the door in time for preschool. Our biggest calendar change will be our PARTY DAY (moving it to Monday, December 21st). I'll send out reminders, we'll draw names tomorrow and make our final plans for the day and send out the info to everyone. Now, onto today's activities! We had a fun morning with the dollhouse, slugs and cars and then we were busy on projects! We put together a Gingerbread Puzzle and then colored it in. Next, we had to match the Gingerbread Cookies to each other. Our next page to work on, was our Jj page for our scrapbooks! We wrote the sight works jump and just and then we made a Jungle Treehouse and had to glue pictures into the correct spots on the page before coloring it in. After our project, the kids listened to the book, The Gingerbread Man, online, while i prepped lunch so that we could have it ready when we came in from playing outside. It was definitely much cooler outside, but we still had fun and enjoyed the fresh air and being mask free for a bit! Corbin and Charleigh were busy smashing gourds and "planting" them to see if they will grow next year. The littles had a ball swinging, running, sliding and building forts! They are so creative when we get outside and I LOVED their tea party they made for me! It was the MOST delicious tea ever! For lunch, we had taquitos, green beans, pears and nachos with cheese. The littles were all ready for some snuggle time and ready to rest. We'll see everyone promptly tonight at pick up! Thanks!
We made it to Friday! ☺️ Another gorgeous day to be outside and play! Before heading out, it was all about the color RED inside! We worked on our RED page for our scrapbooks and we made candy canes that were red and white. During our free play time, I put on a Mickey Mouse Christmas~some kids watched it and some just played, but it was a fun, relaxing morning of free play and Christmas thoughts! Outside was simply wonderful! We loved the cool air and sunshine! We ate lunch a little early so that Corbin and Charleigh could go on a special outing with Harrison and Tori. The four of them went on an Elf Hunt, a Storybook Walk and then they were going t grab a treat at Dan and Debbie’s. We ate Grilled Cheese, carrots and pears/applesauce, for lunch. The kids are loving the Grab and Go meals and we plan to partake in them next week, too. After lunch, we read BILLIONS OF BRICKS and then we snuggled in for naps. I have the insurance adjuster coming and our general contractor during naptime-so hopefully we will get things moving on the home front! Hoping you all have a great weekend ahead and enjoy the warmer temps! Stay tuned for Christmas Party plans!🎄
Tomorrow~Insurance Adjuster is set to come around 2 for a follow up visit, I’m hoping it doesn’t take him too long to confirm damages, but we will see?!?! Today’s focus was our shape, Triangle! We met our character, Tyler the Triangle and we made our triangle page for our scrapbooks. We also practiced tracing lines and then we made a fish using 3 triangles! We even glued on macaroni for it’s scales! 🐠 After our morning routine of calendar, circle and project, we listened to the book, OLIVE, THE OTHER REINDEER. Next-OUTSIDE! While outside, the schoolagers arrived and we had a ball outside! It was definitely colder than yesterday, but we still had plenty of time to breathe in the fresh air! The littles were definitely tired today, but we were able to make it through lunch with only a couple of nod-offs!😴 For lunch, we had mini corn dogs, corn and orange slices. After quiet book time, I read SHEEP 101🐑🐑🐑🐑🐑 The littles are snuggling in and the schoolagers are looking forward to some play time together! Charleigh, Graham, Ava and Corbin have some major play time planned out. It’s great to see them all together again!
Weekly fees due tomorrow by 8 am. Our day started with SNOW TALK! We talked about Snow Globes and we sand a new SNOWFLAKES song! The kids were eager to color and assemble their own snow globes with colors, paper, stickers and glue. After our morning project and circle time, we listened to the book, STINKY TRUCK, online. Then, it was sunny and warm out, so outside to get fresh air! We were outside for close to two full hours! Love it when we can get outside that long and enjoy the fresh air! For lunch, we had Quesadillas, Blueberries, carrots with ranch and milk. After quiet book time, we shared our RED SHOW AND TELL and then I read MARY MCSCARY to the kids before we tucked the littles ones in for a nap. Since Corbin brought his WWE wrestling ring, him and Graham are having a blast with the little stuffed animals and wrestling whileCharleigh plays with Tori and Harrison. They enjoy the break from online learning, too! They begged to stay inside to get their wrestling fun in, but with it this nice outside, I’ll be kicking them all outside into the fresh air soon!☀️
HAPPY 4TH BIRTHDAY, MADDOX!🥳 What a great day for turning 4! Maddox has been wearing his hat and birthday sticker very proudly! 🥳 He can’t wait to give his friends Christmas Tree Brownies for our afternoon snack/birthday treat!🎄 We started our day with tiny toys, Legos and Squinkies-the boys and girls were very content to play while we listened to fun music. We had a few silly songs of THE FREEZE SONG, and they loved it! We focused on community helpers today and police officers. We talked about what rules are and why we have them. We learned that the police help us follow rules and they are here to help us. We made HIGH FIVES to hand out to a police officer. The kids also made police cars to play with. After project time, we watched the story IF YOU GIVE A MOUSE A COOKIE and then it was outside to play! I started to put up Christmas decor outside, so they thought that was pretty cool. For lunch, we had pancakes on a stick, hash browns, orange smiles and yogurt. The kids LOVED the meal! Here is a pic of our BIRTHDAY BOY!🥳
