TUESDAY: Prompt, early as possible pick up so we can make it to the swim meet🏊🏻♂️ Burrr-that wind is brutal today and unfortunately, even though it looked wonderful out with the sunshine, the “feels like” temperature only got up to 6° this morning, so we stuck to the indoors. We were busy though! Lots of fun RED show and tell items brought in, Traveling Tales visited and we read about STINKY THINGS! Ask the kids which of the 3 books Ms. Sarah read was their favorite. We tackled lots of projects to get through this month’s projects with our shortened time together. We focused on the Letter Jj and Number 9. We made a Jellyfish Puppet and made a letter J Juice cup. We also traced and colored a reindeer. So many projects! But it kept our hands busy. Of course, we had lots of singing snd dancing with holiday music going all morning. We ate Stroganoff, Peas and Bananas for lunch and then read ASLEEP IN THE STABLE and CHRISTMAS MICE. I think we had a lot of tired kiddos from some little episodes of tattling, nog wanting to share snd a few whiny voices here and there. It wasn’t a real rough Monday, but definitely saw and heard some signs of tired eyes. Hoping a good afternoon nap will turn everyone around.

LOOKING AHEAD~ It’s hard to believe it’s December when it’s 55° and sunny! We will take it! Loving the extra warmth and sunshine for outdoor play! Keep it coming! The girls played kitchen inside and ran their little legs off outside, kicking balls and swinging high! We have a new game of ‘don’t step in the duck poop’ when we are outside!😫 Hopefully our crazy duck will realize his home at night is the same home he should stay in during the day! The boys had fun at preschool, played outside and had fun cutting paper with scissors. For lunch, we had pizza rolls, applesauce and corn. After lunch clean up, we read a book that Ellie brought, THE BERENSTAIN BEARS GO TO THE DOCTOR and CHRISTMAS KISSES. We also had fun singing WHO STOLE THE COOKIES FROM THE COOKIE JAR. We’ll work on our project this afternoon after snack time. Have a great weekend and GO HAWKS!🖤💛
🤒Sickness Alert-Blaire had planned to be home today anyway, but her mom shared she woke up with a low grade temp and said her tummy hurt. FYIWe had a quieter start to our day with everyone going off to preschool. I think Crew has decided it is too quiet here on Tuesday and Thursday mornings, because he was all about chattering today!! ❤️ For lunch, we had Uncrustables, Bananas, Carrot Sticks with Ranch and Milk. I love that serving a simple uncrustable can bring such BIG smiles on their faces!😍 We read LITTLE PORCUPINE’S CHRISTMAS and SNOWMEN AT CHRISTMAS. The kids are excited to look through the books after rest time to find the hidden pictures in the illustrations. We’ll work on our project this afternoon.
Happy Birthday, Maddox!!! The BIG 5 YEAR OLD!🥳 It’s been a day of celebrating! Maddox has enjoyed lots of signing, as the girls LOVE to sing!❤️🥳❤️ Maddox brought Brownie Trees to share this afternoon and the kids can not wait for his birthday treat!🎄 The boys had preschool and the girls had fun playing here at the house with their goofy imaginations, squinkies and blocks. We had a little bit of excitement, as Harrison came home after his Kirkwood class and on his way back to Prairie, he blew a tire. So, we decided to check on their progress of changing the tire since he was just outside of Ely when it happened. They had just gotten the spare on and all was good. We kept driving along to head home and then there was a funeral procession, so I pulled off the road and that’s when the kids got worried. They were certain I had a bad tire and that I should call Heath and Harrison. I tried to explain what was going on, so if you hear that we had a bad tire, we didn’t and I didn’t get pulled over (because somehow they were certain the police were coming , too)!😜 We all made it back home and gobbled up our lunch of fish sticks, apple slices and broccoli with cauliflower. We read JINGLE BELLS and THE LITTLEST ELF and talked about our giving project. Enjoy another gorgeous day outside if you can!
