We went to MacBride State Park today and enjoyed the HUGE sand area, tunnels, swings, slides and rock wall. We enjoyed a picnic lunch by the water and watched the geese. After we were done eating and cleaned up, we decided to take advantage of being so close to the Raptor Center. We drove across the lake and enjoyed the cooler and cloudy day as we walked through the Raptor Center to explore the hawks, owls, eagles and falcons! The kids had a BLAST!!! Our old owl friend that made funny faces at us last year, was still there! The kids really got a kick out of "talking" to him! Spirit, the Bald Eagle, was still there too! She had a lot to say to all of us and was VERY loud!
Even though we got back to the house later than planned for our afternoon naps, since we did travel into Johnson County, most of the kids fell asleep close to their normal nap time, we just had a little disruption as we all got into the house, but now they are all sound asleep again!
Tomorrow is our LAST DAY of Tot Lot, Water Day and Show & Tell Day! Lots to remember!!! Have a great night and be sure to ask the kids all about our PnP Day today
