Boxes are full-be sure to clean them out today! Our morning started with FREE PLAY with the kitchen and food. Everyone was eager to bring me breakfast! Towards the end of free play, my leg was broken and they put a cast on my foot using spatulas (love their imaginations)! Next, CIRCLE TIME was spent talking about farm animals and their habitats-such am easy topic here! We named our favorite farm animals and why it’s so important to make sure they have food, water and shelter. For our PROJECT TIME, the kids colored a barn and then had to glue on the farm animals. Their favorite part was to add a ‘hinged’ gate to the barn...they made their own ‘lift the flap page’. After we were done, it was time to head to the pumpkin patch. I’ll post a few photos here, but I’ll add them all to a FB post. We saw SO many farm animals at the pumpkin patch (llama, mini horses, pot bellied pigs, rabbits, chickens, cows and lots of cats)! The kids told me their favorite part was the corn maze...we didn’t get lost-whew! We learned how to vote in the corn maze. Every time we came to a man intersection, we voted on which way to go-majority won. After we picked out our pumpkins, gourds and honey sticks-we took off for home. We played outside some more-it was warming up and was so nice to be outside!☀️ For lunch, we ate homemade Mac and cheese (from our curriculum), peas and plums-yum!
