Lauren was our helper today and got us going first thing with our daily routine. After we were done with our busy morning activities, we headed outside and enjoyed the fresh air. The kids had a blast making roads in the sandbox and swinging. Before we know it, it was lunchtime and then we enjoyed quiet book time, and some tub toys to play while I cleaned up from lunch. Right before naptime, we read, Mrs. McNosh Hangs Up her Wash and Crunch Munch Dinosaur Lunch.
On a side note, our open house on Sunday was a hit. We had three families walking through by 1:10 and it started at 1. Heath and I felt 2 couples were VERY interested by the end of our open house. We have actually heard back from one family, but we are playing phone tag with them right now. I will keep you all posted on ANY changes as we know of them!
After the open house, Heath had to go into work, but the kids and I packed up and went to the farm. Heath joined us after work and we had our FIRST OFFICIAL SLEEPOVER at the farm! It was so nice to wake up out there. I took full advantage of Heath and the kids still sawing logs when I woke up and had my first run out at the farm. The hills out there are going to be KILLER, but they will pay off in the end. We were able to meet some neighbors, enjoy some Ely fun for the 4th of July and Harrison and Tori were in their FIRST parade. They had fun throwing out candy and getting people wet while they were on the float (and a bonus, our house isn't full of parade candy...and they haven't even asked about it yet)!
From the sounds of it, many of you had a great weekend! Some good road races, lots of water fun and some fireworks! Unfortunately, Kaitlyn's mom (Jen), didn't have a great weekend and ended up having emergency surgery on her gallbladder! ;-( Prayers for a quick rec
