It’s Virtual Learning week! We (daycare group) are working on our project right away, so that we can hopefully have our project done by the time our school agers arrive (they are staying home to complete their online time before coming to daycare). Flexibility with our daily routine-necessary! 😉 It’s almost Turkey Time, so that is what we focused on today! We did the Turkey Pokey during Circle Time, talked about what colors turkeys are, what sound they make and if we had ever seen a wild turkey. For our project, we made Rectangle Turkeys-so cute! After our project time, we listened to two online books (DO UNTO OTHERS and TOO MANY TOYS). As soon as we finished, Charleighand Corbin arrived and it was outside to play! Raking leaves was the thing to do! The kids made a huge pile at the end of the slide to slide into-so many giggles! After about 30 minutes outside, the girls were saying they were cold and the boys were still going full speed ahead, so we did splitsville. The girls went in and washed up and pulled out the tiny stuffed animals and the magnetic dress up girls-they (along with Tiggy) had a blast! The boys stayed outside and raked a new (and bigger) pile of leaves. Lunch was Beefy Macaroni, green beans and peaches. After clean up and quiet book time (which Corbin gathered the littles together and read to them), I then read NO MATTER WHAT and HOW TO FIND A FOX. We also listened to what a fox sounds like at night. We wrapped up story time with two songs, FIVE LITTLE TURKEYS and BABY SHARK THANKSGIVING! The littles are down napping and the bugs are busy building a race track and playing house. Enjoy your Monday!
